Management Accounting & Budgeting (Accounting) This is a fabulous opportunity for a mid-level Management Accountant to work for this leading innovative rail construction and maintenance solutions business who are committed to safety.
The Position This is a newly created position reporting to the Managing Director, working from our office in Melbourne's Northwest.
This position will be responsible on a day-to-day basis for:
Budgeting, Forecasting and Business planningExecutive reporting, analytics, and presentation to enable decision makingLead role in managing the month-end reporting processIn-depth analysis of resultsBusiness partnering with the operations team, all departments, financial stakeholders, and external accountantLead role in process and systems improvement projectsManaging payroll operations, ensuring compliance with Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs)Accounts receivable and payable monitoring and managementJob costing and invoicingUtilising Xero for accurate bookkeeping, invoicing, and financial reportingThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills/traits: A bachelor's degree in accounting; CA or CPA is encouraged but not necessary3-5 years' experience as a Financial Accountant with commercial and business awarenessCompetent in the Microsoft Office suite and XeroComplex Payroll experience and EBAsIn-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirementsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent people and time management skillsWhat's in it for you?
