Job Description:
As a Management Accountant at City Mart Melbourne, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of the company. You will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data, generating reports, and providing insights to senior management to guide strategic decision-making. Your contributions will help drive cost-efficiency and profitability across all City Mart locations.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare, analyze, and report on financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements. Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. Monitor and advise on cost control and profitability improvements across all City Mart locations. Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries. Produce management reports and present financial insights to senior leadership to support decision-making. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Support external and internal audit activities as needed. Identify financial risks and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with other departments, including operations and purchasing, to ensure financial alignment with business objectives. Qualifications: Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CA, or membership with a recognized accounting body (e.g., CPA Australia, CA ANZ, IPA) preferred. 3-5 years of experience in a management accounting role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting processes, and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar). Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling expertise. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
