Job DescriptionWhat does a Management Accountant at Warakirri Asset Management do? At Warakirri, a Management Accountant plays a pivotal role in the financial health and strategic decision-making of our dairy operations. This position involves the preparation and review of detailed financial reports, budget management, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis. Reporting to the FP&A Manager for Aurora Dairies, the Management Accountant is part of a dynamic finance team that's spearheading the rollout of PowerBI. This team collaborates closely to ensure accurate and insightful financial information is available to support our farming operations and overall business strategy. The Management Accountant works in tandem with operational staff and the head office team, maintaining a seamless flow of information to support the achievement of our financial goals.
Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and issue monthly profit and loss reports for each farm and the consolidated group, including cash flow forecasts and budget variations.Conduct quarterly preparation of full-year forecast operating performance for each farm and the consolidated group.Assist with board reporting, including cash flow reports, year-to-date performance, and forecast performance.Prepare annual farm budgets, maintain the capital expenditure tracker, and support the CAPEX Committee as a sitting member.Analyse work-in-progress (WIP) expenses for accurate period classification and perform financial analysis to identify trends and results.Prepare monthly business reports and annual key performance indicators and absorption costing reports for Warakirri Asset Management.Ownership and maintenance of management reports.Foster positive working relationships with regional operations managers, farm managers and head office personnel, and other internal and external stakeholders.QualificationsAbout you Management Accounting experienceDegree in Accounting, Finance or related commerce majorProficiency in analysing and communicating financial informationStrong proficiency in accounting software, Power BI and Excel including financial modellingDemonstrated use of data control and visualisation tools such as Power Pivot, Power Query and/or Power BIAbility to manipulate large data sets and extract key insightsExperience in Agriculture or Manufacturing would be a bonus (not a must)Additional InformationWhat makes Warakirri unique?
