An exciting opportunity is available for a suitably qualified and experienced Management Accountant to join the business with an immediate start. Reporting directly to the CEO, this new role is ideally based in Launceston and will manage all aspects of the businesses accounting and financial requirements, including working in conjunction with external advisors. This role will be critical in ensuring efficient accounting systems and processes are in place and in supporting management decision making with appropriate data analysis and reporting. Strong business acumen and excellent collaboration skills will be critical to the success of this role.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to: Provide strong leadership and support to the management team in areas of financial and data analysis and management reportingOversee cost accounting to ensure accurate tracking, recording and allocation of costs Work closely with key stakeholders and be across business operations, multiple entity transactions and providing value adding information to help enhance business decision making in all departmentsEnsure compliance with accounting standardsAssist in the development of forecast modelling to support business decisions and growth and expansion strategies Key capabilities required include, but not limited to: 5 years of proven experience in management accounting or similar roles A bachelor's degree or graduate diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.Strong business acumen and a proven history of achieving targets and providing high level service to internal and external stakeholdersStrong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and interpret complex financial data and trends.Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools, such as Excel, and experience with ERP systems.Excellent communicator with high level presentation skills and the ability to present and convey financial information clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholdersProven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced dynamic environmentA professional and highly collaborative individual with ability to leverage the knowledge of othersA proactive and flexible problem solver who actively drives continuous improvement Collaborating with the senior management team this position will be integral in building and supporting future progression of this robust and adaptive business.
