The role: This full-time, office-based position is located at our yard in Spotswood, just a short walk from our head office.
The Symal Plant, People and Logistics team oversees more than 4,500 assets valued at over $150 million and is responsible for managing logistics and all yards across the group.
As a Management Accountant, you will support our Commercial Lead with financial and reporting responsibilities.
If you do not live in Melbourne, we are in a position to assist & facilitate a relocation package for you.
Your impact: Your addition to our busy team will enable a sense of fluidity between the wider Asset's and Finance team.
Your every day: Asset Billing: preparation of weekly asset billing reports in conjunction with Asset Allocations teamsEnd of Month tasks: preparation of end of month journals, accruals and prepaymentsAssist with the preparation of Business Unit P&L and Balance SheetsMonthly Management Reporting: preparation of monthly asset utilisation and cost / revenue reports, assist with GM Review PacksAttend to billing queries from project teams, provide credits and follow up on missing billingsPrepare monthly yard expense reportsAssisting head office Finance team with finance queries and requests (FBT, FAR, FTC etc)Management of a site-based Project AdministratorWho are you? Tertiary degree in accounting, business or similarCompletion of a CA or CPA qualification OR nearing completionSimilar experience in a business partner capacity or management accountant capacityExperience working with operations team, and non-financial stakeholdersWorking knowledge of Plant & Equipment is ideal, or similar industries such as Construction, Resources / Manufacturing, LogisticsAdvanced skills in Excel and proficiency across ITAttentive to detail, can manage time well and great organisation skillsA career with us Symal is an equal opportunity employer.
