We are seeking a Management Accountant to join Faculty Operations, Faculty of Business and Law.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Management Accountant to provide expert financial management advice and services that support the Faculty's business and service delivery objectives. In this role, you will take charge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while offering strategic guidance to leadership teams to ensure informed and effective financial decision-making. As a key team member, you will address complex financial challenges, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and play an integral role in building financial capabilities. Your expertise will contribute directly to shaping the Faculty's financial strategy and supporting its long-term success.

What you need to succeed Education, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to completing a degree in a related discipline with applicable work experience. Working toward or holding professional membership with The Australian Society of CPAs, Institute of Chartered Accountants, or an equivalent organization.Financial management skills in working with large budgets using a range of corporate financial systems and demonstrated experience in applying financial governance principles.Demonstrated ability to provide accurate advice on financial and other data in a clear and concise manner to a variety of stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to problem solve issues, evaluate processes, and contribute to a high-performance culture.High-level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to quickly establish rapport and manage collaborative working relationships, engage with a diverse client group, and work effectively in a high performing team.Advanced digital literacy skills, including demonstrated ability to successfully use spreadsheets and accounting systems including Oracle financials or similar.Life at QUT We're committed to building a culture that fosters connection between people and purpose.
