The Role
As a Management Accountant, you will be a cornerstone of our Finance Department, tasked with a blend of financial analysis, strategic planning, and operational enhancement. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your role is crucial for driving financial insights, supporting strategic decisions, and advocating for process improvements and governance across the organisation.
Management Accountants are business partners with a variety of stakeholders, so we are looking for someone who can tell a story about the numbers or data, assist in the development of strategies and then execute on them!
Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly management reports, focusing on budget variance and performance metrics.Monitor, report, and provide insights on manufacturing costs, including materials, labour, and overheads, to identify trends and improvement areas.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance business development analysis and financial modelling.Implement and improve accounting processes and finance systems, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.Manage comprehensive inventory controls and conduct reconciliations to maintain an accurate stock status.Provide relief coverage for the Finance Manager as needed and serve as a primary point of contact for accounting queries.Some BAU Accounts such as assisting with the Month End, FBT and Reconciliations.About You
You are a forward-thinking Management Accountant with a solid background in the manufacturing sector, known for your strong commercial acumen and analytical skills. Your expertise in financial modelling, variance analysis, and inventory management sets you apart, and you are adept at managing complex financial tasks with precision and efficiency.
Key Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, complemented by CPA or CA certification.
A minimum of 4 years' experience in a Management Accountant role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Microsoft Business Central (desirable).
Excellent communication abilities, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels and managing priorities effectively under pressure.
