We take pride in our focus on safety, while driving a strong people-focused culture to make transformations toward a sustainable and smart future.About the roleReporting to the Finance Business Partner Lead, the Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing weekly and monthly management reporting to operational and finance managers and provide insightful analysis regarding the profitability of projects, business units and the overall group.The key responsibilities for this role include:Assist the Finance Business Partner Lead and Commercial Manager with the Annual Budget process for the Group.Assist in the preparation of quarterly reforecasting for the Group.Assist in monthly management reporting process in WorkDay including project revenue recognition, reporting financial performance to operational managers, and preparing management reporting packs for Board and Senior Management.Continuous improvement in management and operational reporting.Preparation of regular and ad hoc financial and KPI reports for all business units including insightful analysis.Identify trends in key business drivers, understanding the reasons, business consequences and recommend actions.Analyse key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identify possible impacts on the business.Apply financial expertise to assist in developing appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.Act as a trusted advisor to assist with business units' finance support and requests.About YouTo be successful you will:Be CA/CPA student or qualified, or similar.Have experience in Engineering services and/or mining, minerals or energy sectors is an advantage.Have extensive systems experience, particularly in Workday, is an advantage.Have strong technical accounting skills, commercial acumen, and MS Excel skills.Have problem solving and critical/analytical thinking skills.Have a can-do attitude and strong communication skills.The new Verbrec brand represents our evolution and continued growth by leveraging emerging techniques and technologies for the benefit of our clients.
