Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) is seeking a Management Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and deliver timely monthly management reports, analysis, and recommendations.
This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring effective operational governance, funding body reporting, and decision-making.
Collaborating closely with the Finance Manager, you will oversee the Management Accounting and Grants function, including budgeting, financial acquittals, funding income management, and forecasting.
What you'll do
Monitor and manage grants and funding agreements, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.
Analyse budget variances, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes to optimise financial outcomes.
Advise and train managers on managing program budgets and financial processes.
Contribute to financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including executives and funding bodies.

Your skills and experience
Tertiary qualifications in accounting or a related field, with a minimum of three years professional experience in finance or extensive experience in grant management.
Expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and managing grant funding acquittals.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver quality financial outcomes.
Proficiency in accounting software and developing analytical reports.
