Major Gifts Offi?cer ? ?About you As a Major Gifts Officer, you will play a crucial role in meeting or surpassing donation revenue goals.
You will achieve this by fostering and strengthening our deep engagement and relationships with existing partners and key supporters.
You might be currently working in relationship management, account management, philanthropy, or major giving roles and are eager to leverage your skills and experience to make a tangible impact on our world The Role Join our major gifts team as a fundraiser, reporting to the Co-Head of Philanthropy.
You'll develop prospect research and moves management skills to secure support from individuals, businesses, and foundations, achieving fundraising targets and growing the major donor pipeline for the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.
You'll also collaborate with the broader fundraising team, including Database and Individual Giving Managers.
What we will trust you with Identify major gift prospects from current supporters and new sources Develop and implement strategies to secure donations of $10,000–$150,000 Collaborate with Co-Heads of Philanthropy to build donor relationships and seek new prospects Track donor movements through the giving cycle with detailed records and plans Maintain retention and upgrade goals, ensuring donors are engaged and obligations are met Understand the Institute's key research areas to persuasively talk to prospective donors Engage donors through stewardship strategies, involving senior philanthropy team, leadership, faculty, and scientists Report regularly on portfolio activities, pipelines, and results Does this sound like you?
Practiced in managing a prospect pipeline using a CRM database such as Raiser's Edge/NXT Superior writing skills with strong attention to detail and ability to adapt complex information to proposals that meet a funder's requirements.
Exceptional presentation skills along with strong negotiation skills and confidence to close the deal.
A natural networker and relationship builder, comfortable liaising at all levels.
Proven ability to achieve financial targets and a demonstrated track record of securing gifts from individuals, trusts and foundations and corporates.
Sound knowledge of wider donor management and stewardship in other fundraising streams including bequests and direct marketing.
