DESCRIPTIONAmazon is seeking to hire Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) Technicians to join the team at our Fulfillment Center (FC) in Ravenhall for the Day Shift, including working one day during weekends.The focus of the Maintenance Technician role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, conduct preventative maintenance on time to a high standard, and provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.Key job responsibilities• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.• Prioritize health & safety best practices in all work carried out.• React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams, and work efficiently to resolve the issue.• Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns, providing feedback, and suggesting improvements through the line manager.• Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.• Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.A day in the lifeOur RME Technicians are based on-site, enabling quick response to machinery issues. They conduct planned preventative maintenance on site equipment to ensure safe operation. Additionally, they promptly respond to breakdowns, investigate, and implement solutions efficiently, while also suggesting long-term improvements. They work alongside senior colleagues on day-to-day maintenance tasks, including general building maintenance.About the teamOur Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team ensures optimal performance of equipment. We collaborate to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers. From automated packaging systems to key distribution equipment, our team handles various technical aspects, ensuring safety and efficiency. We are currently open to hiring candidates for positions in Ravenhall, VIC, AUS.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS• Formal trade qualification: Certificate III in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license (unrestricted)• Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems• Experience in fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems• Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings• Experience in conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters• Experience working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Experience with computer maintenance systems (CMMS)• Experience with sortation machines• Experience in an industrial environment• Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners• Experience with print and apply machinesAcknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation, Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea, and community.
