The Opportunity Our Lysaght business is looking for a Maintenance Technician/Operator to join the Operations Team based in Toowoomba.
Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.
In this business-critical role, you will operate machinery and provide hands-on maintenance services to our production teams in a continuous manufacturing environment.
Your efforts will focus on monitoring product quality, ensuring safety for both the team and the machinery.
You will enhance machine safety, uptime, and performance, enabling us to continue delivering our world-class products to our valued customers.
What Will You Do? As someone who is committed to the safety of their team and delivering on customer expectations you will be:assisting with the setting up, adjusting, and operating of machinery for producing Colorbond steel beams for roofing and other steel roofing roll formed products isolating equipment and performing corrective maintenance on the machines inspecting equipment and identifying faults, taking necessary actions to repair these responding to and resolving machine breakdowns with a sense of urgency participating in shutdowns for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance More About You Being a reliable and dedicated individual with a willingness to learn and develop yourself, you will also bring:demonstrated experience in the repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment including machine rebuilds and improvements a positive attitude and a keen eye for detail the ability to work both independently and as part of a manufacturing team a commitment to your own safety and wellbeing and care for others Why Blue Scope As We're Creating Strength For The Future Through Our People, Products And Solutions, Blue Scope Supports You To Build Your Expertise Within a Safe And Positive Team Environment.
