What Will You Be Doing?
As a Diesel Fitter on our mine site, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of mobile plant equipment.
Your role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of our machinery, contributing to the overall productivity and safety of our operations.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of mobile plant equipment, including haul trucks, excavators, dozers, and loaders.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential problems before they lead to equipment failure.
Use diagnostic tools and software to assess equipment performance and identify areas needing attention.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed, including parts used and work completed.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
What You Will Need: Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
Proven experience in maintaining and repairing mobile plant equipment, preferably in the mining industry.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
