We are seeking an experienced site maintenance technician to join our IsaKIDD team in Townsville. You will report directly to the Principal Mechanical Engineer. The role will include some travel, both domestic and international.
You will be responsible for: Support the development, investigation, and implementation of Glencore Technology machine projects (including but not limited to automation) and our other technologies.Fault-finding, maintenance, and repair of the cathode plate manufacturing facility to ensure optimal operation.Conduct routine machine audits to support our clients and external stakeholders.Troubleshooting and optimizing PLCs, robotics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.Maintaining and building strong relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure long-term success.Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver project goals effectively.To be successful in this role, you will have: Mechanical maintenance experience working with PLC, Robotics, and Hydraulic machinery.Experience in Copper/Zinc refineries or electrowinning maintenance is highly desirable.Not critical to have engineering qualification if candidate has enough specific industry and practical experience.Electrical and automation experience is advantageous.Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate technical and commercial issues with clients.Why you should choose us: External Education Assistance Program.GT's Leadership Program (2-day, Glencore Technology only, course that aims to share our culture as quickly as possible and focuses on fostering effective communication).Preferred health providers offering corporate discounts.Car leasing opportunities.Glencore Rewards Program (discounts at many popular stores including Woolworths).Applications close: Monday the 20th January 2025.
