PermanentFull Time Position Increase yourtake home pay with Salary Packaging (claim up to $18,550 tax free salary) conditions apply Based at our Orana Centre & Bouddi Place in Point Clare About your new role: The Maintenance Team Leader will provide quality property support and maintenance services under limited supervision. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating minor property works, consulting on building compliance, liaising with contractors, and ensuring the maintenance of buildings, equipment, and surrounding grounds. Your leadership will contribute to achieving divisional and organisational objectives.
Duties: Manage and coordinate minor property works and equipment upgrades in consultation with the Area Manager and Residential Manager (RM). Ensure compliance with building codes and standards for requested changes to the building fabric or structure Liaise with contractors, tradespersons, suppliers, and volunteers, ensuring all contractors are inducted into the BaptistCare contractor management system (Rapid Global). Oversee the day to day management of all contractors on site, including site specific inductions, communications, WHS work permits, and service shutdowns. Participate in the development of the property and services budget. Manage expenditure and assets within delegation Provide effective management and leadership to staff, promoting a positive workplace culture. Manage staffing processes, including recruitment, performance reviews, education, and conflict resolution Skills and Experience: Essential Minimum of 12 months trade experience. Previous property/maintenance experience. Recognised ability and experience in leading a small team. Successful management of Property and Maintenance services. Understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and accreditation requirements. Ability to achieve goals within set time frames and budgets. Sound computer literacy in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Demonstrated commitment to WHS in the workplace. Empathy, flexibility, and patience with aged people and their needs. Ability to provide accurate and timely advice to management. Desirable Previous aged or health care experience. Experience with computerised maintenance management systems Conditions of Employment National Police Clearance and/or NDIS Worker Clearance (if applicable). Current Driver's Licence and reliable motor vehicle. Why join us?
