We are working with multiple clients across Perth who are seeking experienced Payroll and Senior Payroll Officers to join their teams.
Location: Within 10 minutes of Perth CBD
Contract Start date s: ASAP
Contract end date: 3 months
Pay rate: $40-45 per hour + super dependant of experience
Hours: Full time
The candidates we are looking for must be qualified, have previous relevant experience in a similar position as you will need to be able to hit the ground running.
You must have well-developed interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people and groups in a business setting.
The purpose of this position:
This position is part of the maintenance support team that ensures support services for facilities maintenance activities, such as financial and contract administration, are performed to a high standard.
Role requirements:
* Support the management of a range of contractors and contracts to ensure planned and reactive maintenance is conducted to the appropriate standard and within agreed timeframes
* Issue, analyse and track service requests and work orders to appropriate contractor, tradespeople or maintenance officer
* Carry out tender activities, analysis and recommendations in accordance with Council approved processes
* Assist in obtaining quotes from contractors and verify quoted rates and scope are as per existing contracts
* Prepare purchase requisitions for both planned and reactive (ad-hoc) maintenance
* Check payment claims and prepare goods receipts for invoices
* Investigate and identify deficiencies in existing contracts and assist in the preparation of contract variations and associated documentation
* Prepare minutes of meetings, reports and other written documentation as required
* Assist with the creation and update of various operating procedures related to maintenance and facilities in liaison with Facilities Maintenance staff
* Prepare work zone permits for City projects and events as required
* Attend site, as required, to understand work requirements and gain familiarity with site layouts and services
Selection Criteria:
* Knowledge of asset management, facility, or infrastructure maintenance practices.
* Knowledge of contract management or accounts payable processes and systems.
* Ability to communicate at all levels, including writing complex reports.
* Ability to use a range of IT programs incuding MS Office packages and City Systems.
* Finance and budgeting skills and an understanding of accounting principles.
* Ability to work and adapt in a fast paced and complex environment.
* Experience supporting a maintenance, project, or other complex operational function.
* Experience providing customer service or handling complaints and fault requests.
* Experience of working in Local Government is preferred but not essential.
