An equipment and mining services company backed by a team with 40+ years of mining and civil experience. Mineco has operations throughout NSW, QLD & SA that provide mining services in a wide range of fields incl. equipment operations, road base rock crushing, specialist operator and mining strategy training, engineering/technical services, and equipment maintenance. Mineco has a position available for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to showcase their skills and add value to its mining services operations. This is an opportunity to work as part of a team to deliver a quality service to our valued clients throughout the Hunter Valley Region.
About You
You will have proven experience in managing the day to day running of a site Maintenance teams in a mining environment and have proven experience in costing allocation for service, repair and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment, including Haul Trucks, Dozers & Loaders.
The Maintenance Supervisor will be a passionate leader who understands the importance of company compliance and the role supervisors play in developing workplace culture. You are a great communicator and organiser and have a natural ability to develop trusting relationships across all parts of the organisation.
Your Skills and Experience:
• Certificate of Proficiency in Plant Mechanic or equivalent
• Relevant Supervisor Certificates – G1,8,9 (formerly S1,2,3) or willing to obtain.
• Proven experience in managing day to day Maintenance operations, including the planning and coordination of maintenance rebuilds of Mobile plant equipment to site
specific standards.
• Strong understanding of all aspects of cost management including time sheets and cost code to ensure all costs for the site are captured and allocated accurately.
• Ability to complete equipment inspections and audits to drive reliability.
• Sound communication and organizational skills.
• Strong safety and performance culture with commitment and ability to lead the team to ensure work is to the highest safety standards.
• Ability to make business critical decisions and problem solve.
• Ability to work to plan to achieve business goals.
• Minimum 2- years' experience in a Maintenance Supervisor role on a mine site or Equipment maintenance company.
• Ability to use Microsoft office suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point.
• Experience in CMMS such MEX, AMT desirable.
You will be responsible for:
• Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent
• Achieving performance targets
• Safe execution of operations
• Forward planning of maintenance scheduling inclusive of improvement strategies
• Understand and maintain compliance with process and procedure of all staff & contractors on site
• Timely completion of all company deliverables and actions
• Maintaining client relationship through open communication
Keeping the client in the loop at all times with regards to
o Downtime and recovery
o Planned work
o Arising problems
o Costs incurred outside of normal scope
• Ensuring all applied toolbox talks are understood and followed
Management of personnel inclusive of
o OT coverage
o Disciplinary action where required
o Employee requests
o Employee change of conditions
o Enforcement of employee roster and work times
