About the Division / Team Our Hunter Valley network primarily services the Hunter Valley coal chain – the world's largest thermal coal export operation – by providing an efficient and reliable rail transportation system between mines and the Port of Newcastle. We manage the movement of around 250 trains per day on our network. Around half of these being coal trains and the other half comprised of passenger services, as well as grain, general intermodal, and other bulk freight trains. About the Opportunity Prioritise, coordinate and oversee the efficient planned maintenance and breakdown work execution. Understand requirements of the Maintenance Strategy, Access Undertaking and NSW Network Rules to ensure work processes implemented consider relevant requirements Communicate appropriately where critical issues are identified relating to people and processes impacting Asset Maintenance performance Provide support to ensure policies and procedures relating to human resource management are understood, effectively practiced and administered consistently Manage the weekly plan and drive team efficiencies including team labour productivity Deliver effective leadership and management with respect to Work Group Leader roles and functionality (Including behaviours and time management) Assist in the coordination of response to network disruptions and break in work Support the delivery of safety initiatives (eg Vehicles and Driving, Level Crossing Improvements) Support education/awareness/training of Maintenance Integration objectives to increase maintenance work hours using the shadow effect from Network Pathing Develop and sustain solid working relationships with NCCN TTM's as the peer role in operations About You To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate: Relevant Trade Qualification Experience in Work Management and the use of CMMS (SAP or Ellipse) Ability to lead change process Drivers licence – Class C Desirable: Cert IV Leadership & Management or Project Management Demonstrated commercial acumen Knowledge of: Australian standards for track infrastructure including the railway National Code of Practice Railway safe working systems, principles and audit requirements What we offer You will have access to a variety of benefits working with us, including but not limited to: Work on leading major projects as part of a long-term program of work Competitive remuneration Flexible working options available 24/7 Employee Assistance Program for all employees and their direct family members Numerous financial, lifestyle, health and wellbeing benefits Including salary sacrifice option of novated leasing, discounts and support programs Our Organisation and Culture We foster an inclusive, values led culture and embrace diversity in all forms.
