About the role
The Maintenance Supervisor has primary responsibility for implementing the maintenance system for the Laverton site by supporting and supervising the maintenance team in their day-to-day tasks.
The Supervisor will also provide assistance to key operational employees and supervisors across the site with regards to maintenance issues.
The outlook for the role is primarily operational and internal, contributing to the implementation of the maintenance program.
The role also needs to interact strongly with operations and the procurement team on the local deployment of maintenance programs as well as operational excellence methodologies and a safe working environment.
We currently have two vacancies – 1 x Maintenance Supervisor on day shift (6am – 2:30pm) and 1 x Maintenance Supervisor on afternoon shift (2pm – 10pm).
Key focus of the role: Implementing and supervising cyclical maintenance programs and tasksProviding a timely response to reactive maintenance requests and effecting repairs in a timely manner to facilitate continuity of operationsSupporting and implementing preventative maintenance programsProviding supervision of maintenance employees and modelling safety in the workplaceCommunicate and drive implementation of WHSE initiatives, improvements and corrective actions for work areaMeet KPI's set for delivery across site and implement systems and processes to facilitate achievement of these performance targetsMonitor the performance, competency and capability of people in agreed rolesCoach and mentor employees to build their capabilityRecord training completions for Maintenance operators and ensure that training plans are updated
You will be a proven people leader, applying sound people management practices and problem-solving techniques to build the capability of employees to meet current and future business needs.
You will have experience in the following:
A trade qualification, or relevant qualification in Production Manufacturing is highly desirableAt least 3 years experience in Maintenance, Production Manufacturing or similar background, preferably in a field related to heavy manufacturingExperience in a frontline leadership role with demonstrated skills in leadershipEffective written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated experience applying a knowledge of Lean ManufacturingDemonstrated commitment to Safety Leadership with experience implementing Safety SystemsExcellent time management skills and the ability to work in a busy environment Key Benefits
