If so, we want you to join our team! Sodexo is currently seeking a suitably qualified and highly motivated Building Maintenance and Grounds Supervisor to join our team at our mine site at Stanmore – Poitrel, Qld.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this position is required to drive in drive out from Moranbah surrounds or from Mackay to Coppabella, Qld working 7days on and 7days off for 9.5hours per day.
Free meals, accommodation and uniforms provided for candidates doing DIDO from Mackay or surrounds.
Who are we looking for? Demonstrated experience and competency in a similar role A current open manual driver licence is essential for this role This position would suit a driven and self-motivated individual who is hard working, reliable and isn't afraid to get his/her hands dirty with the ability to work all day outside ACDC chemical license, chainsaw license and front deck mowing or similar experience Ability to drive a zero harm culture through proactive safety leadership and display a true value for safety Duties: Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment Record maintenance and repair work performed and ensure quality of work Supervise leaning, waste and hygiene services Prepare schedules for maintenance tasks Ensure preventative maintenance at the property Issue safety work permits to maintenance personnel Deliver various ground maintenance services, including debris and graffiti removal, keeping landscaping and parking areas clean, safe and attractive Track inventory for repairs and maintenance and order supplies for maintaining grounds Responsible use of chemicals and sprays in designated area Complete building maintenance tasks including but not limited to; door replacement, replacing/installing locksets, stripping and sealing vinyl floors, white boards on wall installations Maintaining and cleaning vehicle, wash bays and oil separators Operate machinery, including a Forklift, ride on mower and other garden and power tools Assist with unloading and loading equipment Why choose Sodexo?
