We proudly contribute to local economies and maintain strong partnerships with communities, upholding our values of integrity, accountability, and excellence.Sixa Resources is currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor Mobile Equipment to join our newly established site team at our Frances Creek Mining Operation. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play an integral role in partnering with our leaders and management, to help improve the effectiveness of the business and site operations. Our leaders are required to lead by example and are encouraged to maintain a hands-on approach to their leadership of their work group.Key Responsibilities:Supervise staff undertaking a range of maintenance tasks requiring the application of established work practices and procedures.Development of site-specific work practices and procedures required to safely and efficiently undertake maintenance activities in the unique site environment.General management of day-to-day maintenance activities.Monitor progress of works with a view to ensure a standard of completion is maintained.Undertake the necessary planning and associated reporting requirements for maintenance works.Forward planning and improvement of maintenance projects and workplace procedures.Operating the system called Base Plan as well as site-based maintenance management tools.Coordinating logistics, inventory, workshop assets, consumables, equipment, and accurate ordering of spare parts and consumables.Coordinating and prioritising jobs and maintenance programme schedule.Develop monthly, weekly and daily schedules for all preventative, corrective and ad hoc maintenance work.Ability to develop shutdown plans for equipment, parts and personnel.Organise inductions, permits and approvals required to complete work on site.Update component details in the Maintenance Management System upon completion of job.Managing stock in line with a 3-month schedule.Chair weekly/monthly planning and review meetings with all relevant to pre-schedule, prioritise and review against the plan.Build and maintain relationships with employees, suppliers, and customers.Ensure statutory compliance tasks are up to date and completed across the fleet.Communicate effectively with offsite based maintenance team regarding fleet health and major works completed.Manage subcontractor engagement and coordinate site access with the site administration team.The successful applicant will be required to have:Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Trade Certificate, minimum 5 years post trade qualification experience.3+ years' experience in a similar role.A very high standard of work, demonstrated by past experience.The ability to prioritise critical work paths in a fast-paced environment.An understanding and appreciation of competing priorities in an operational environment.Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task.Sound experience with IT applications including Microsoft suite.Ability to run reports, audit documentation and adhere to procedures.Strong collaboration skills with other team members, work group and suppliers.A current motor vehicle license.
