Signature Care is looking for a full-time Maintenance Supervisor for our brand new residence in Tamworth. This newly created, Monday to Friday 8am-4pm, position presents an exciting opportunity to shape the service delivery of Signature Care into the future during a period of significant change in the aged care sector.

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to maintain the interior and exterior of this brand new, state of the art building to a high standard, having regard for the comfort and wellbeing of residents and advising on replacement or repairs as required.
Skills and Requirements for this Role:
To be successful in this position you will be able to demonstrate the following:
• Experience in building maintenance
• Knowledge of Aged Care industry is desirable
• Thorough understanding of all legislative requirements pertaining to maintenance and repairs i.e. OH&S & Fire/Evacuation
• Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks including use of tools and equipment
• Willingness to contribute to after-hours maintenance requirements from time to time
• Excellent communication skills and respect for residents and colleagues
• Previous experience working autonomously with limited direction
• Ability to weld would be an advantage
• Be able to make decisions about costs and priorities and documenting a full plan for work to be completed
• Supervise and monitor the maintenance and gardening team
• Contribute to the support of aged care residents by providing quality service as required, and with respect to dignity and privacy.
Essential:
• Trade Qualification e.g. B Grade Electrician & OHS Qualification is advantageous
• A current NSW driver's licence
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
