Scotch Oakburn College is seeking an experienced Maintenance Services Manager to oversee the effective and efficient operation of the college's maintenance and facilities services. In this full-time, permanent role based in Launceston, TAS, you will be responsible for managing a team of maintenance professionals to ensure the smooth running of the college's facilities.
What you'll be doing
Manage and oversee a team of maintenance professionals and trades assistants to deliver high-quality, timely services Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to ensure the college's facilities are well-maintained and in compliance with safety regulations Liaise with College leadership to identify and prioritise maintenance projects and initiatives Monitor and report on maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective service delivery Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant policies and procedures Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise maintenance processes and procedures Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team, including coaching and mentoring What we're looking for
Substantial experience (5+ years) in a maintenance management or supervisory role, preferably within an educational or institutional setting Strong technical knowledge and understanding of building maintenance, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems Proven ability to lead and manage a team of maintenance professionals, including scheduling, budgeting and performance management Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise and balance competing demands Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. Building Services, Facilities Management) or equivalent industry experience Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations and compliance requirements What we offer
