We are seeking a skilled Maintenance & Reliability Engineer, ideally with AC traction experience to support the EVO class locomotives.
This role is vital in ensuring the reliability and performance of our advanced fleet.
About Your Role:
Reporting to the Fleet Manager, you will:
Participate in, and at times lead, investigations of in-service failures, analysing root causes and resolving critical issuesCollaborate with Asset Management to review task lists and develop work instructions for the Spotswood siteConduct daily fleet performance reviews and deliver weekly/monthly reports to Pacific National, performing trend analysis to enhance performance within budget and contractual limitsRecommend corrective actions and asset improvement initiatives, considering safety, cost, quality, and reliability.
Where acting as Functional Lead, you will develop plans and schedules for implementing these actionsMonitor and ensure the accuracy of data used for performance reporting, addressing discrepancies to maintain high-quality reportingOversee the configuration of assets and compliance with Technical Maintenance Plans, reporting any anomaliesAttend and actively participate in meetings with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate issue resolutionEnsure compliance with all record-keeping requirementsAbout You: 4-year Engineering Degree in Electrical (preferred) or Mechanical, ideally with AC traction experience2 years' experience in the rail industry or similar heavy industryStrong communication skills (oral and written)Ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels (both internally and externally)Customer-focused, team-oriented, accountable, and results-drivenAbility to work independently, organize and prioritize demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines, and follow through in a fast-paced environmentProficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, and OutlookExperience in Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., SAP) is desirableWhy UGL?
