• Utilise your trade skills to make a positive difference Your Role: Based at Maranoa Centre, Alstonville, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance & Property Team Leader to join our Property team on a permanent full-time basis.
As the Property and Maintenance Team Leader, you will be a key member of our site leadership team. In collaboration with the Area Manager and Site Manager, you lead and direct the maintenance team, ensuring quality property support and maintenance services to all customers, ensuring BaptistCare assets are maintained to the highest standard. You will lead and direct the maintenance team to provide high-quality property support and maintenance services.
This diverse hands-on leadership role requires a proactive approach to maintenance and involves the general upkeep of the buildings, plant & equipment, furniture fittings, gardens, lawns, and carparks, as well as liaising with and supervising contractors, tradespersons, and suppliers as required.
About You: Relevant Advanced Trade Qualification.Previous property maintenance experience, ideally in a multiple dwelling environment.Experience managing/supervising contractors and/or staff.Valid driver's licence.Well-developed communication skills.Excellent time management skills including the ability to prioritise and multi-task.Excellent problem-solving skills as well as technical knowledge to fault find.Good understanding of Work, Health and Safety practices.Sound computer literacy skills.Passion for helping others, supporting the elderly, and making a positive impact.Genuine alignment to the organisation's values.About Maranoa Centre Maranoa Centre has a lush rainforest patch on-site with over 30 species of established rainforest trees where many people love to rest and read. Maranoa Centre aged care home provides 90 beds for residents across all levels of care, including dementia care and respite care services. Many rooms include either a private courtyard or balcony, ensuite bathroom, and other added extras to ensure residents live in premium comfort. We take care of all the gardens, buildings, and common areas, so residents can focus on doing the things they love without worrying about upkeep or maintenance.
