We are currently seeking a Maintenance Planning Officer to work in the Engineering team of our Aviation Department on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting into the Senior Maintenance Planning Officer, this role is responsible for carrying out tasks primarily relating to maintenance planning as well as aircraft continued airworthiness documentation and maintenance.About youDemonstrated knowledge of and experience with aircraft maintenance documentation and traceability systems (WinAir would be highly advantageous)A solid understanding of CASA regulations, Maintenance Data, Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness (ICA) and associated airworthiness regulations (desirable)Effective communication skills, including written and verbal, and experience with liaising with colleagues to problem solve situationsPractical outlook without compromising attention to detail and a high level of time managementThe ability to work with minimum supervision and direction, including working from home arrangements if neededAbout the roleCoordinate and implement the work packs for maintenance requirements of the RFDS fleetsLiaise with the various engineering section staff regarding upcoming maintenance requirementsContinually monitor aircraft maintenance due listsCarry out airworthiness aircraft documentation and maintenance of aircraft technical records and log booksPerform additional duties as they arise through operational and aircraft maintenance requirementsLiaise with all Operational and Maintenance Bases, Pilots, and Senior Management as appropriateBenefitsSalary packaging - up to $15,900 per annum for everyday expenses and up to $2,650 per annum on meals and entertainment expensesNovated Lease optionsWorkplace culture of team work and collaborationThe mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia.

Every year, the RFDS WO provides urgent retrieval for about 10,000 patients in regional WA.

Our 24/7 operations centre at Jandakot Airport coordinates complex logistics for patient retrievals and clinics across the State.
