Seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Planner Salary between $80,000 - $90,000 + superannuation Join Australian Food and Fibre Australian Food & Fibre (AFF) is a modern, integrated business that combines significant knowledge and expertise to supply quality Australian cotton to the world, as well as cereals, pulses and oil seeds. We have a career opportunity for a skilled maintenance planner to support our industrial operational function in our Cotton processing plant based in Narrabri, Western New South Wales.
You will get a chance to learn and experience new machinery, new technologies and work alongside some of the best in the industry. As part of this role we see you being involved in the planning of new processes, installation of new equipment, modifications to existing systems, maintenance and general support for our production and farming operations. As our Maintenance Planner you will be part of the AFF team, you will play a vital role in a large and successful business that has a major focus on the Processing and Farming of cotton.
The successful applicant must possess a minimum of 12 months of experience as a Maintenance Planner and hold a Mechanical Fitter qualification and/or the equivalent work experience as well as current studies yet to be completed. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a keen interest in process manufacturing and operational modifications. Applicants will also hold a current driver's licence, and it would be beneficial to have knowledge of PLC/SCADA, WHS, and safety systems.
Key responsibilities include: Ensure that machinery and facilities operate smoothly, minimising disruptions and costly repairs while maximising productivity. Creating preventive and corrective maintenance schedules based on the needs of equipment and machinery; ensuring that maintenance is performed regularly to prevent breakdowns and prolong the lifespan of assets. Ensuring that all necessary resources, including spare parts, tools, equipment, and labour, are available and prepared before the maintenance work begins. Developing and managing preventive maintenance (PM) programs to reduce the likelihood of equipment failure. Working closely with maintenance technicians, engineers, and external contractors to ensure that maintenance activities are executed properly. Ensuring that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. This is a full-time position requiring 38 hours per week, and the successful applicant will be offered a salary between $80,000 - $90,000 + superannuation and bonus dependant on experience.
The role also includes shift work being available to work both day and night shift Monday to Sunday for up to 5 months of the year.
