Your role at St John of God Bunbury H ospital This position is part of the Engineering team to ensure reactive maintenance of the site(s)' assets to meet operational requirements, SJGHC's obligations with respect to Australian Standards, relevant regulatory and licensing requirements in a best practice and cost effective manner.
The Maintenance Planner supports the Engineering department with administrative and reception tasks to cover leave and absences and is responsible for maintaining the operational status of the hospital and ensuring availability of equipment with minimum down time The Position Job planning and coordination of reactive maintenance tasks (electronic work requests) in a computerised maintenance management system (Orical ERP) involving regular interaction with the Deputy Combined Facilities Manager, Engineering caregivers, ward managers and contractors / suppliers.
Job prioritisation based on the priority allocation table.
Coordinates resources and manpower.
Manages the Engineering Service Mailbox.
Manage new work requests and backlog management.
Ensures accurate recording of time spent on job and perform productivity analysis.
Plan, arrange and optimise usage of external resources as required.
Escalates major breakdowns (affecting loss of function/potential business interruption to Combined Facilities Manager.
Job coordination and effective communication with various stakeholders.
Liaises with all Stakeholders regarding work request progress and regular communication of job status.
Generating reports - Monthly reports for finance, monthly department KPI reports, and outstanding job reports.
Ensures technical completion of job in CMMS.
Backlog management.
Attends monthly job review meetings.
Save, link all quotes and service reports to CMMS and sends quotes to relevant areas for approval.
Investigation/follow up of Supplier invoices/quotes/service reports.
Scope and oversee small projects.
Supports front desk when unattended including receipt and dispatch of materials.
Facilitates Contractor Induction process.
Coordinates and track repair of biomedical assets in coordination with Equipment store person.
Manages documents / drawings in the document management system and version control.
Runs KPI reports for review by Combined Facilities Manager.
Ensures spares availability.
Maintains records to support evidence of various activities performed by engineering department and support audits.
Organises, manages and ensures technical documentation and traceability.
Being part of this team means that you will be responsible for maintaining the operational status of the hospital and ensuring availability of equipment with minimum down time.
You will have had a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, Hospital and/or Commercial building maintenance management and job coordination, using computerised maintenance management system and be able to demonstrate safe working practices.
Due to nature of engineering problems in a modern hospital, a good knowledge of all trades is required, e.g.
mechanical, plumbing, steam, air conditioning and refrigeration, carpentry, electrical and electronic controls in all aspects of hospital equipment and facilities.

A good, positive, 'can do' attitude is required, as you will be expected to get involved with working with the other stakeholders.
You will have highly developed communication skills, including the ability to develop stakeholder partnerships and to establish and maintain reliable networks, along with the proven ability and extensive experience utilising CMMS.
Well-developed resource management and computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets, knowledge of buildings, building practices and Australian Standards are vital to this position.
