Maintenance & Handyperson Services (Trades & Services) Meriton Suites is currently seeking a Maintenance Officer to support one of our beautiful Surfers Paradise properties.
About the Role As a Maintenance Officer you will work to ensure our property is safe, well maintained and well presented. You will work as part of a high performing maintenance team.

Your key responsibilities Fitting, testing, repairing and replacing fixtures and fittings, including lightbulbs, windows, doors, and handrails.Performing basic plumbing maintenance and repairs on taps, basins and toilets.Performing basic carpentry, including hanging and replacing doors and operating power tools.Performing minor welds to fabricate or repair fixtures.Checking safety equipment such as fire hoses, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and alarms.Reporting requirements for significant repairs to management.Clearing gutters and common areas of rubbish and debris.Applying and repairing paint and plaster.Changing locks on doors and windows.Painting duties if/when needed.To be successful in this role you will have Familiarity with maintenance officer/handyman duties or hold an applicable trade.Exposure in a hotel environment is highly desirable.A high level of attention to detail.The ability to work independently.Full availability to work a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays (shift time between 7 am and 11 pm).A professional approach in dealing with guests and other staff members whilst carrying out your daily tasks.About Meriton Suites Meriton Suites is Australia's largest owner-operator of apartment-style hotel suites, with 23 incredible locations and 6,204 suites, giving every guest a guarantee that they are staying in the best accommodation in Australia.
