Maintenance Officer - Residential Aged Care

About The Role

We're looking for a Maintenance Officer to join our team on the beautiful Gold Coast at our Southport Residential Aged Care on a permanent part-time basis of 38hrs per fortnight.

Our Maintenance officers carry out general maintenance functions as appropriate at our residential aged care facility, engage and manage contractors for works authorised by the facility manager and oversee grounds maintenance and enhancement.

About You

With a background in general maintenance and gardening your skills & qualifications will include:

Experience in an Aged Care environment highly desirable
Formal trade qualification or equivalent (desirable)
Fire Safety Assessment (FSA) accreditation (willingness to obtain)
Demonstrated experience and ability to perform domestic and general maintenance, including basic painting, plumbing, carpentry, minor repairs to equipment and the maintenance of large area grounds and gardens.
Strong customer service skills.
Good time management skills, including the ability to prioritise and follow through on tasks effectively.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety principles, for the care and safety issues related to tools, equipment, chemicals and electricity.
Current Drivers Licence
Current National Police Check
COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
Immunisation against Influenza, Tetanus, and Hepatitis B (or willingness to obtain)
