About the Job We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Officer to join our Tassal team working on the night shift.
As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of our machinery and equipment at our Huonville processing site.
Reporting to the maintenance manager, this role will suit a proactive, hands-on enthusiastic person who takes pride in their work and sets themselves high standards.
This role will have you completing preventative maintenance and breakdowns as necessary while with minimum downtime always working towards continuous improvement.
This position is a Sunday to Thursday roster working the night shift and will participate in the On Call Roster (Approx 6-week rotation).
Duties can include:
Conducting regular maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively.Diagnosing and repairing faults and breakdowns in machinery and equipment.Responding to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime.Ensuring all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner whilst adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.Communicating with the production team to schedule maintenance work and minimize downtime.About You In order to be successful, you will need:
Qualified Maintenance Fitter or similar mechanical trade.Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter or a similar role.Experience working with a production/processing environment.FMCG background (desirable).Electrical (or restricted electrical) license (desirable).Ability to respond to machinery breakdowns efficiently.Strong communication skills.Who are we?
