We are seeking a Maintenance Officer for our CraigCare Maylands Home on a Full time basis.
About the Role Reporting to the Home Manager, the role is responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks and checks across the Home ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff. Preventative and corrective maintenance is a big part of the maintenance program.
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Officer to join our team with responsibilities for the upkeep and repair of our Home, ensuring that all systems are functioning properly and safely.
What You Will Do Perform routine maintenance tasksConduct minor repairs on equipment and building systemsInstall and maintain appliances and equipmentEnsure the grounds are maintainedEnsure all safety systems are functional, maintained and control panels inspectedEnsure contractors deliver required outcomesManage risks in line with policies and procedures and improve maintenance processesMaintain documentation to meet regulatory and Company complianceSupport the Home Manager in multiple duties including regulatory compliance requirements and moreDemonstrate professionalism and care when interacting with residents and their familiesReport all incidents and implement corrective actionsWhat You Will Bring Maintenance skills including, but not limited to, painting, carpentry, minor plumbing & electrical, minor repairs to equipmentEnsure compliance is maintained to meet regulatory and accreditation requirementsAbility to work in an organised manner and keeping all equipment and areas safe and tidyCustomer service focused and committed to achieving optimal outcomesDemonstrated organisational and time-management skills and the ability to prioritisePrevious experience in aged care and similar highly desirable but not essentialStrong communication, interpersonal skills and able to contribute to the teamAbility to manage physically demanding tasksTrade Certificate is desirableProvide NDIS clearance, Rights to Work and up to date COVID & Flu vaccinationsCulture and Benefits Learning & development.
