About the Role Are you a hands-on individual with a passion for keeping spaces safe, functional, and looking their best?
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer to help maintain our residential facilities and administration properties.
In this role, you'll be performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks, ensuring that our buildings and grounds are always in top condition within a set time frame.
Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Repairs Painting and patching : Perform detailed touch-ups on both interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a smooth finish.
Address minor plastering needs and surface repairs.
Furniture assembly : Assemble a range of office and residential furniture, ensuring proper functionality and stability.
Moving and fixing furniture : Safely relocate and repair furniture across properties, adhering to safe lifting practices and ensuring minimal disruption.
Lighting repairs : Replace and maintain lighting systems, including fluorescent, LED, and incandescent fixtures, ensuring optimal brightness and energy efficiency.
Paving and minor repairs : Repair uneven or damaged pathways and perform minor paving tasks to improve safety and aesthetics.
Hanging art, whiteboards, and fixtures : Precisely install wall fixtures like art, pin-up boards, and whiteboards, ensuring secure installation.
General property repairs : Conduct minor repairs such as tightening screws, replacing broken parts, and performing basic upholstery fixes.
Gardening & Groundskeeping Lawn care : Mow and maintain the lawns to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
Pruning and weeding : Regularly trim shrubs and trees, and remove invasive plants to promote healthy growth.
Planting : Select and plant flowers, shrubs, and trees that enhance the aesthetic appeal of the grounds.
Sprinkler system maintenance : Repair and maintain sprinkler systems to ensure proper water distribution across the grounds.
Fence repairs : Carry out minor repairs to ensure fences are secure, aesthetically pleasing, and structurally sound.
Emergency Repairs & Response Respond to urgent repair requests across our facilities in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to residents and staff.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly, restoring functionality and safety as soon as possible.
Record Keeping & Compliance Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all work performed, including materials used and time spent.
Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with building regulations and Richmond Wellbeing's work health and safety standards.
Adhere to Richmond Wellbeing's values, policies, and code of conduct in all interactions and tasks.
The role is permanent part-time offering 1 day per week, with the opportunity to increase as required.
About You To be considered for this role, you will possess; Certificates White Card Tag and Testing Certification is desirable   Experience Strong skills in general maintenance, repairs, and handyman work.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair fixtures and systems.
Commitment to safety and compliance with WHS standards.
Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
