Maintenance Officer

Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer to join our team at the Victorian Government. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking general maintenance tasks, developing and following planned maintenance schedules, and working cooperatively in a team environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake general maintenance tasks, including repairs and maintenance of facilities and equipment.Develop and follow planned maintenance schedules to ensure efficient and effective maintenance of facilities and equipment.Work cooperatively in a team environment and with a range of people to achieve common goals.Work independently and be self-motivated, showing initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Establish strong links with key stakeholders and work through issues constructively.Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to OHS requirements and guidelines.Coordinate and determine work priorities required of the Maintenance/Grounds keeper with minimal supervision, overseeing contractors as needed.RequirementsDemonstrated knowledge and skills to undertake general maintenance tasks.Demonstrated capacity to develop and follow planned maintenance schedules.Proven ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively in a team environment and with a range of people.Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, showing initiative.High level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to establish strong links with key stakeholders.A sound knowledge of OHS requirements within the workplace.Demonstrated experience and skill in coordinating and determining work priorities required of the Maintenance/Grounds keeper with minimal supervision.
