We are seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining machinery and facilities to support smooth operations and uphold our commitment to quality, safety and food safety.
Your new role As the Maintenance Officer you will provide a timely and effective maintenance service across our manufacturing facility. You'll perform preventative, routine, and reactive maintenance to ensure equipment and facilities operate efficiently, minimising down time and supporting a safe working environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs within scope of role on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment.Identifying and troubleshooting equipment issues and escalating larger problems to the Maintenance Manager or external contractors.Maintaining and organising tools, equipment, and workshop areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness.Monitoring spare parts, identifying low stock, and assisting with reordering as needed.Performing basic mechanical repairs, including changing heavy-duty door castors, seals, and hoses.Supporting basic plumbing maintenance within the scope of your skill setEnsuring compliance with WHS policies and food safety standards, including participating in quality audits.Collaborating with team members and contractors to ensure smooth operations.Logging maintenance activities in the asset management system (FIIX) and reporting on equipment performance.What you need to succeed Trade or engineering qualification or 3+ years of relevant experienceKnowledge of WHS regulations and risk management principlesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work safely at heights and in roof spacesExperience with tools and power equipmentGood communication skills and a proactive approach to teamworkA forklift license is desirableYou will need to have work rights in Australia and provide 2 professional references of seniority.
