Maintenance Manager Required Wangaratta location

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Manager to join their team. As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for leading our maintenance department and ensuring the smooth operation of the Wangaratta facility. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering, with a strong background in maintenance operations, equipment optimization, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the maintenance team of one, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
Develop and implement a comprehensive planned maintenance plan to optimize equipment performance, reduce downtime, and minimize costs.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment, identify potential issues, and proactively address them to prevent breakdowns and improve reliability.
Optimize equipment and processes to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enhance overall operational performance.
Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources and timely procurement of necessary equipment and materials.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and establish safety procedures to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption to production schedules.
Train and develop maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strong problem-solving skills.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in maintenance techniques, recommending and implementing best practices as applicable.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Solid understanding of equipment maintenance principles and best practices.
Knowledge of safety regulations and experience in ensuring compliance.
Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
