About the opportunity With an unbeatable beachfront location, the resort is accessible via 4WD and is the east coast's go-to destination for exploring the island's iconic destinations. With expansive grounds, the resort includes 83 newly renovated hotel rooms and apartments, as well as a restaurant and bar, renowned bakery, and general store.
We're searching for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join the team at K'gari Beach Resort. Reporting to the resort General Manager and leading a team of dedicated tradespeople to deliver preventative and repair maintenance across the resort.
As the Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for the efficient planning of maintenance schedules and management of the preventative maintenance program. You will oversee daily maintenance programs across the resort complex and be responsible for troubleshooting issues as they arise. This is a hands-on role, and a forklift and manual driver's licence would be preferred. The role includes the management of the Sewerage Treatment Plant, inclusive of daily monitoring and compliance testing. Additional infrastructure to be responsible for includes the swimming pool, grounds, and plant equipment.
The role will lead and engage a diverse maintenance team of tradespeople and apprentices including electricians, carpenters, handyman, and gardeners.
This is a full-time salaried opportunity. The successful candidate will be required to live on the island within the staff quarters located on resort premises.
