Leading a small team of skilled professionals to ensure the highly complex fully automated plant and equipment of Canberra's leading commercial laundry has the capability to meet our operational demand.
The position of Maintenance Manager of Capital Linen Service plays a crucial role within the Laundry Operational Team and drives the planned and reactive maintenance requirements of the facility to meet operational requirements. This includes coordinating and driving the day-to-day management of these requirements, with regular interaction and reporting to the CLS Senior Leadership Team so informed decisions can be made regarding current facility and plant operating capability, and optimisation of facilities.
No experience in Laundries? That's not a problem as long as you have a commitment to learn the industry and understand fully automated production facilities; we can teach you the rest. More importantly, we want a people person as a leader, someone that identifies the importance of the work we do for the population of Canberra, supplying our public and private hospitals, aged care and broad health network clients with clean, sanitised linen every day of the week. If you are someone with an enquiring mind into fully automated process equipment and systems, able to work to identify faults and, more importantly, identify solutions to ensure we keep functioning, then we want you!
The Maintenance Manager will also lead a small team of tradespeople charged with elevating the maintenance function in a high-demand critical service support industry where it is crucial our facilities, equipment, and maintenance aim to ensure maximum operating capability with minimal downtime.
We are looking for a leader to lead the Maintenance team from the front, balancing department administration with operational functionality, while you lead, develop, and mentor the team encouraging open engagement across the business to embed a team mentality and customer service focus.
