About this role Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) is a consortium comprising of industry leading Tier 1 organisations – John Holland, Service Stream and WSP.
Sydney Water has partnered with D4C to deliver design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services across their southern region - from Bondi to Gerringong, and out to Georges River.
D4C is seeking a?Maintenance Manager to join our dynamic, diverse and high performing team in an exciting time of growth.
We need your skills and expertise to help Sydney Water deliver a $34 billion dollar program over the next 10 years to build, maintain and protect the future of our iconic water resources.
Primary Purpose? The purpose of this role is to lead the operational maintenance team of up to 12 trades and subcontractors in the Illawarra treatment hub, ensuring that all five plants are fully maintained and are operational with minimum down time, delivery of L4L projects, and overhauls.
efficiently ensuring all work is completed within the set timeframes, budgets, and quality standards, achieving KPI targets, while coordinating resources, overseeing subcontractors, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
liaising with the SW Operations Management, Reliability Engineer and Operations team within each plant Key Accountabilities Supporting Maintenance Leads to ensure allocated work orders are completed with the priority response time and completed within the assessed target range Conduct regular toolboxes with a focus on Safety, Update the afternoon shift roster and support afternoon shift when required Setting daily, weekly and long-term planning of labour and resources together with the D4C planner, SW hub team to achieve the best required outcome.
Allocate Work to team daily and ensuring team are fully utilised Ensuring all work carried out by the team and subcontractors is completed Safely Continual Monitoring and reviewing cost spend, ensuring the hub maintains within allocated budget.
Ensure high risk work is always supervised.
Monitoring quality of work and ensure that all condition assessments are actioned Demonstrating sound people management skills by successfully leading and motivating our internal team of tradesmen and ensuring the quality and safety performance of Subcontractors work on site.
With an aim for positive outcomes Liaising and coordinating with all SW Operations team.
Contributing to a good safety, quality environment and a community culture with a view to Deliver Differently, responding immediately to any customer complaints.
Essential Trade background with minimum of 10 years in trade (Mechanical or Electrical) Previous Supervisor / Management Experience Minimum 3 years in Maintenance Leading hand / Supervisory role Excellent Microsoft skills, word, excel, PowerPoint.
Preferable Minimum of 5 years in the Water or similar industry Diploma / Cert IV or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, Management or equivalent? Confined Space, WAH, LOTO.
