As the Maintenance Manager Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing resort maintenance, including management of team members and subcontractors.

What you will do?Coordinate and supervise maintenance and gardening teams, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations while enhancing operational efficiency and minimising costs through preventative maintenance programsDevelop and implement new methods and procedures to improve operations, including training team members on company policies and performance expectationsOversee equipment requisitioning and review departmental reports to adjust maintenance activities and plan for new product needs, ensuring alignment with operational and budgetary goalsNegotiate and manage relationships with external contractors for maintenance, gardening, and cleaning services, while providing guidance to management on property service issues and regulatory complianceEstablish and monitor maintenance reporting systems, ensuring timely completion of major projects, guest satisfaction, and continual improvement through effective feedback mechanismsMore about youTrade certificate with demonstrated leadership or management experienceMinimum of 3 years of experience in related fieldA proven background in effectively working with key internal and external stakeholders across the business and industry sectorAny additional licenses to perform inherent requirements of the role and locationSite security clearance where applicableWho we areNestled within the Great Barrier Reef, Lizard Island is a sanctuary of natural beauty and tranquility.
