The Opportunity
Located in Burwood, Fountain Court Retirement Living is a well-established community and tranquil garden paradise enclave in the heart of Burwood.As a passionate people person, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of ourgardens and building fixtures within the community. Working closely with Community Manager and the residents, you will ensure our gardens, grounds, building and fixtures are well maintained, presentable and safe for all to enjoy. The ideal candidateneeds to be friendly, approachable to residents, have the ability to work autonomously and be the "Jack of all Trades" when it comes to gardening.
This is a Part-Time position working 2days a week (Week 1= Monday & Friday), (Week 2= Monday & Thursday) from 07.00-16.00 You will Attend to various gardeningrequests to create a safe & pleasant environment for residents, visitors and staffBe responsible for the maintenance of all villagegardens including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching and green waste removalEnsure all community spaces are appealing and safe for our community and visitorsMaintain effective working relationships with maintenance contractors and suppliersCarry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedulesComplete additionaladhoctasks delegated to you by Community LeadersBuild strong relationships with our residents and enjoy helping them to live their best lives with well-maintained areas.What you'll bring A warm & caring personality with an interest to make a difference every dayExperience in generalmaintenance roles or possess 'handy' domestic repair skillsExperience in Gardening duties(highly desired)Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not possess, we can complete for you)Valid driver's licence (required)What we offer: $24.93/hour + superannuation + relevant entitlements including overtime and allowances covered under a local enterprise agreementAll tools and supplies providedEnjoy every weekend off!Up to 8 weeks Parental LeaveAbility to purchase additional Annual LeaveEmployee Referral ProgramBe part of a friendly and supportive team in an elite & prestigiouscommunityJoin a leading retirement communities operatorBe part of an organisation focused on innovation and supportWho we are
