Maintenance/Gardener

About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance/Gardener to join our team at Aveo. As a Maintenance/Gardener, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of our gardens, grounds, and fixtures. You will work closely with our Community Manager and residents to ensure our community spaces are safe, appealing, and well-maintained.
Key ResponsibilitiesAttend to various maintenance and upkeep requests to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, and staff.Be responsible for the maintenance of all village gardens, including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching, and green waste removal.Ensure all community spaces are appealing and safe for our community and visitors.Maintain effective working relationships with maintenance contractors and suppliers.Carry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules.Build strong relationships with our residents and enjoy helping them to live their best lives with well-maintained areas.What We Offer$27.17/hr + super + relevant award entitlements, including penalty rates, overtime, and allowances.All tools and supplies provided.Paid Parental Leave and Purchased Annual Leave options.Employee Referral Program and Employee Assistance Program.Discounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providers.Opportunities for further career progression.Be part of a friendly and supportive team in a caring retirement living community.RequirementsA warm and caring personality with an interest in making a difference every day.Experience in general maintenance roles or possess 'handy' domestic repair skills.Experience in gardening duties.Current Police Check certificate.Valid driver's licence.Two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations.
