About the role: Carry out general grounds and building maintenance and repairs duties within all of Amaroo Village to provide a safe, attractive, and comfortable environment for residents.Maintain gardens of the facilities and gardens of village residents who have relinquished responsibility for their gardens.Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to address maintenance requests raised by Amaroo Staff, Consumers, contractors, volunteers, and visitors.Ensure that duties and tasks are performed in a manner that upholds Consumers' rights, including dignity, respect, and privacy as it relates to this role.Ensure all interactions with consumers in the course of duties are kind and caring.Compliance with all relevant WHS procedures.You will: Have experience or qualifications in garden maintenance, mowing, and weed control.Possess knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety principles and safe work procedures, including the correct use of various tools and equipment used for gardening and household maintenance works.Be able to work independently and as part of a team.Have a customer-focused approach, able to work with a broad range of people from varying backgrounds.Be able to assess individual situations and use initiative to solve or seek directions.Demonstrate communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Have the ability to prioritise and organize your own workload.Have an understanding of and commitment to confidentiality.Possess basic IT devices and/or computer skills.Be available to participate in an "on-call" rotation.Hold a valid WA Driver's License.All applicants must supply a current National Police Clearance (completed less than 6 months ago). You will need to have full right to work in Australia (Permanent Residents or Citizens) to work for this position.
