Maintenance Fitter / Welder Machine Tool Automation is a Sydney based Service Provider to the Manufacturing Sector , in supplying support for customer industrial and site plant equipment .
We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Fitter to work within our mechanical service team, servicing customer sites in the Mascot / City area
Work tasks involve the maintenance of plant equipment, light fabrication and welding, general fitting tasks, and dismantling / rebuild of mechanical assemblies . On-site training would be carried out to the benefit of MTA & the successful recruit.
Ideally the potential recruit would be a reliable , fit and motivated worker, capable of undertaking tasks as set below . Trade qualifications can be discussed.
Practical experience is essential .
It is imperative that the recruit is well presented and personable, complementing their work ethic & skills.

Key Responsibilities include Understanding mechanical assembly & detail drawings .Understanding procedures on response to diagnose faults prior to dismantling & rebuild of plant equipment.Understanding to see faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials or products .Experience in welding and assembling of components of plant equipment.General fabrication and fitting knowledge.Metal work preparation (drilling, cutting, tapping , hand tools ) .Must be able to use a wide range of hand and hand held power tools and workshop machines such as drills, grinders, clamps, benders and lifting equipment. Produce accurate and neat job reports, timesheets and other paperwork.
