Your Role
Our client, a leading company in the poultry industry, is seeking dedicated Maintenance or Mechanical fitters to join the team. Located close to Brisbane, this role is critical in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of processing and packing operations.
As a maintenance or mechanical fitter, you will work as a member of the maintenance team and carry out mechanical, machine and facility maintenance to deliver safe, timely and high quality service to meet business needs.
Duties And Responsibilities
Maintaining processing and packing equipment. Fault finding and timely repairs. Preventative maintenance of plant and equipment, including maintenance activities on Saturday (as per roster). Maintaining compliance to internal safety and food quality systems and programs. Identifying equipment reliability improvement opportunities. Carry out all work as instructed by the designated Supervisor or Manager. Contribute to maximum machine availability by efficiently maintaining, servicing, repairing and performing approved modifications. Communicate machine maintenance requirements effectively, contributing to a team based approach for machine operation and maintenance. Ensure all work is carried out to a high quality standard and in a safe, cost efficient and timely manner with minimal supervision. Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner and complies with Workplace Health and Safety Legislation and internal systems. Logging hazard and safety observations into the relevant systems. Skills & Experience
Mechanical or Engineering Trade Certificate. At least two years of working experience towards relevant field. Substantial level of skill in maintaining, troubleshooting, servicing and repairing of site plant and equipment. Substantial knowledge of the concept and application of preventative maintenance to improve reliability and availability. Sound level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to actively participate in an environment of team work and effective workplace relationships. Reliability. The successful candidate will be offered a range of $80000 - $90000 base salary per annum plus superannuation.
