Position: Maintenance Fitter & Leading Hands / TA's / Technicians
Labourpower Trade are seeking multiple candidates for their client who specialises in Recycling & Materials Recovery. Candidates must come from a Trade Qualified Background or have Strong Mechanical Aptitude & Previous Experience in a Similar Role. We have both Maintenance Fitter & Leading Hand Technical positions available for an immediate start.
Leading Hand Responsibilities
As a Leading Hand, you will be a key point of contact between the shift employees and the Shift Supervisor, assisting shift employees & conveying any issues to the Shift Supervisor immediately. You will perform duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor or the Manager in the absence of the Shift Supervisor.
Leading Hand Duties Include, But are Not Limited to:
Investigate, diagnose and rectify Plant breakdowns, defects and maintenance related issues
Provide accurate feedback with Plant equipment issues
Direct shift employees with applicable duties during times when areas of the Plant are not operating
The ideal Leading Hand candidate will have:
Minimum of 3 years experience working in the waste industry
Experience in a similar role preferred
Fixed Plant operations knowledge
General knowledge of materials handling
Good communication skills
Good organisational and planning skills
Good analytic skills
Willingness to develop skill sets in all operational areas including operating a FEL and Excavator
Maintenance Fitter Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for assisting with any Breakdown, Preventative & Fault Finding work that needs to be tended to. You will have a minimum of 5 years proven, previous experience with at least 3 of those in the Waste & Recycling Industry.
Maintenance Fitter Duties Include, But are Not Limited to:
Investigate, diagnose and rectify Plant breakdowns, defects, and maintenance related issues
Provide accurate feedback with Plant equipment issues
Perform any PM or Breakdown work required
Work with other Trades to identify & rectify any Mechanical issues
The ideal Maintenance Fitter candidate will have:
Minimum of 3 years experience working in the waste industry
Experience in a similar role preferred
Fixed Plant operations knowledge
General knowledge of materials handling
Good communication skills
Good organisational and planning skills
The ability to read and interpret drawings
A Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, completed or recognised in Australia.
All candidates will need a drivers licence, their own reliable vehicle & to be able to complete a full on-boarding, including Functional & Drug and Alcohol Assessments.
