The Opportunity: Visy began manufacturing corrugated cardboard boxes in Melbourne, Australia, in 1948 and has grown to become one of the world's leading privately owned packaging, paper and recycling companies.
Our site in O'Connor is looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter and will be part of our reliability team, supporting production of a busy plant, working rostered shift hours across day and afternoon shift.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Be reactive to breakdowns minimising downtime.
Carry out routine checks and planned maintenance to maintain productivity of machines.
Assist in fault finding, troubleshooting and repairs of machinery.
Maintain stock levels of spare parts to assist in making components for repairs.
Update and maintain data records on work carried out.
Uphold and adhere to company policies and procedures in Environmental, Health and Safety.
What you will bring to the team: Mechanical Trade Certificate Minimum 3 years industry/manufacturing/FMCG experience Own toolbox and own basic PPE Own vehicle and driver's license Excellent verbal and written communication skills Great work ethic with the ability to work autonomously or part of a team.
