DSI Underground also provides galvanising and other related services to the mining, civil, marine, commercial, and industrial industries.
About the Role Based at our Kewdale site and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Fitter is responsible for completing breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance activities to all equipment and plant on site.
The duties and responsibilities associated with this role will include, but are not limited to: Completes breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance activities to all equipment on site; Takes direction from the Maintenance Supervisor and responds to requests from the production team as required, including breakdowns, machine changeovers, and machine fault finding; Responds to call outs and breakdowns in a timely manner; Conducts machine inspections and preventative maintenance activities and reports back any faults identified; Ensures equipment is operational and available to meet production requirements of the business; Works with the production team to ensure products produced are of suitable quality; Identifies spare parts required and alerts the Maintenance Supervisor when parts are not available; Ensures that the work health and safety requirements of this function are maintained in accordance with statutory legislation and company policies and procedures.
About You To be considered for this opportunity you will possess all the following attributes: Relevant Engineering / Mechanical Trade Qualification; Physically fit for manual tasks; Clear oral and written communication; Ability to work unsupervised to achieve targets and follow procedures.
