As well as being the country's largest producer of cream cheese, it also produces infant formula, nutritional lactoferrin, various milk powders, plus our famous single serve butter.
Our maintenance team at Tatura is looking for its next Fitter or Fabricator to provide repair and maintenance services on a day-to-day basis, as well as recommend systems and initiatives, which enhance productivity, efficiency and profitability of the plant.
This is a shift-based role working across day and nights as well as weekends. All shifts are 12 hours so applicants must be happy to work across all hours of the day.
Responsibilities Complete planned preventative, predictive and corrective work to support the safety, quality and reliability of the production equipmentProvide Breakdown support to production to maximise uptimeProvide feedback from tasks and assist with reliability improvement programs to increase reliabilityWork as part of operational readiness teams for new equipment/plant installations and provide technical inputMaintain high standards in relation to Safe Work PracticesAbout you Cert 3 mechanical engineering - mechanical trade - fitting and turning, relevant experience in welding and fabrication are also welcomedCommitment to making safety a priority and leading a safety-first culture within the reliability teams and across the siteBasic computer skills - MEX system & excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with team members and management effectivelyPrevious experience in Food Industry or FMCG is preferredPunctual, reliable and a team player with a positive and can-do attitudeApplicationsThe successful applicant will be required to complete a pre-employment medical.
