We have an exciting opportunity to join our Vinidex business as a Maintenance Fitter. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and based at our site in Toowoomba. You will be responsible for the delivery of maintenance and continuous improvement activities, safety and monitoring of production assets to ensure optimal plant performance and strategic maintenance activities are achieved. For over six decades, Vinidex has been leading the way – setting the industry benchmark for pipeline systems and solutions. Our legacy spans across building, infrastructure, agriculture, and civil sectors. We make life flow with ground-breaking, high-quality products, connecting everything from water, gas and energy throughout Australia. Globally backed by Aliaxis with a wide-reaching national footprint, our team of passionate technical experts support our customers throughout their projects – working to deliver solutions for today and the future.We are looking for passionate people that want to be part of our journey and embrace the behaviours that we stand for We Dare to challenge the status quo, to innovate and to learn fast, We Care for the environment, our customers and each other, We Deliver by taking accountability for our decisions and actions. What will you do?Ensure a safety-first culture and adoption of the Vinidex iCARE behaviours, to achieve world class workplace safety standardsConduct breakdown and reactive maintenance activities across the sites and facilitiesPeriodic preventative maintenance tasks and resultant corrective actions, Work Order Requests from production partners, workshop overhauls, equipment/infrastructure repairs are allocated and completed in a planned, timely mannerMaximise equipment availability/reliability to sites operations including infrastructure and production equipmentAccurately update and use the MEX/CMMS system, ensuring the job descriptions and spare parts usage is up to dateIn conjunction with Maintenance and Production Management, improve the quality of the maintenance production interaction in the workplaceEnsure that all maintenance activities are plannedAs appropriate, develop standard operating procedures for process critical activitiesPerform assigned duties in line with budgetary guidelinesMinimise wastage of consumables as much as is reasonably practicalAbout YouAt least 5 years proven experience in planning and executing maintenance activities in a fast-paced manufacturing/engineering environment. You have a good understanding of equipment maintenance, management processes, concepts, and tools. A safe working environment is important to you, and you have a good understanding and implementation of safe working best practices.
